J Lo Did What?!
Tuesday, April 14, 2015I know it's probably hard to think back to the year 2000. It was the year of the big Mad Cow Disease scare. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published. The Grinch movie came out. And J-Lo ruled the world.
It was the night of the 42nd Grammy Awards, and the one and only Jennifer Lopez (a.k.a Jenny from the block, J.Lo etc.) arrived in a printed Versace dress that defied all kinds of physics.
What you may not have known, is that in 2000 Google was only a website search engine- no maps, no videos, and no photos. But because of the insane number of searches to see this image after this night, Google introduced 'Image Search' to be able to give the people what they wanted- which in this case, was to be able to study this picture and theorize just how much garment tape was holding that dress up.
So there's your cool pop-culture fact of the day. Courtesy of Google, Jennifer Lopez, Versace, and human curiosity.
