MTV Awards Fashion Review

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- I know relatively nothing about fashion. But I'm going to give my very unprofessional opinion anyway.

First, here are my top 5 'Best Looks' of the night.

5. Jennifer Lopez

I don't care what anyone says, how anyone over the age of 25 rocks a blazer/mini-dress so hard is just something I cannot understand. I also love how in typical J-Lo fashion, she keeps it totally classy with the black and gold. Her skin looks like it's literally glowing here. She's perfect.

4. Cara Delevingne

I'm not a huge fan of the hair thing, but this playsuit (is that what it is? is that what they call it?) is so pretty. The colour looks amazing on her, and I love the sleeves, and the draping in the front. So cute. So Cara. Love it.

3. Rebel Wilson

She looks so comfortable with this choice in outfits. Look at her face. She loves this. The dress fits so nicely, and that cape is so cool. Rebel is literally a rebel- she does whatever she wants, who cares what's trendy. Plus the pop of pink looks great on her.

2. Victoria Justice

I love everything about this. I love the zig-zag-y pink thing, I love her black accessories and her hair and make-up look perfect. And on top of all that, she's also perfectly tanned. You go, Victoria Justice.

1. Shailene Woodley

I think it takes one bad-ass lady to show up to the MTV Movie award in pants and a tee. Not to mention, the most popular woman of the night (Hello Trailblazer Award.) But she pulls it off so beautifully. I love her hair. I love the boots. I love the bold lip. But I love everything about her. Shailene, please be my cool, fashion-savvy friend.

And now, for worst dressed, I know the most popular choice was Bai Ling's pretty revealing dragon thing. (see below)

I just don't get it at all. It's not even an outfit, it's a costume. So I'm picking something different for my worst dressed. Here it is:

Charli xcx

I know she's got this eclectic personality, but this is just so very 1999. I don't love the colours. I don't love the non-matching lipstick. She also just always looks so angry. Just not my favourite. Sorry, charli xcx fans. Please forgive me.

I'm sorry if my lack of any actual fashion sense offended or upset you. I'll try to learn things before the next award show.

J.Lo Did What?!

I know it's probably hard to think back to the year 2000. It was the year of the big Mad Cow Disease scare. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published. The Grinch movie came out. And J-Lo ruled the world.

It was the night of the 42nd Grammy Awards, and the one and only Jennifer Lopez (a.k.a Jenny from the block, J.Lo etc.) arrived in a printed Versace dress that defied all kinds of physics.

What you may not have known, is that in 2000 Google was only a website search engine- no maps, no videos, and no photos. But because of the insane number of searches to see this image after this night, Google introduced 'Image Search' to be able to give the people what they wanted- which in this case, was to be able to study this picture and theorize just how much garment tape was holding that dress up.

The Kardashians Go To Church

Now, I'm not too sure about the dress code for church these days, so I did a little research.

The first thing I did was Google 'what religion are the Kardashians', and I found an interview where Kris Jenner stated she was a Protestant Christian.

Again, I knew next to no details about this, so I googled the church dress code for Protestant Christians and turns out:

So, Now I'll leave you with the photos that have been generating quite an online reaction of the Kardashians going to church on Easter weekend. According to most comments that I read when searching for these pictures, they were all dressed 'outrageously inappropriately'. I'm not their biggest fan, but I think that before we bash someone for anything (especially something religion related) we should make sure we have all of the information.

Khloe looks perfect, as always. Kourt and the kids are adorable. I'm afraid of crop tops, but Kendall could wear a bag and look high fashion. Kris looks like a cute mom, in that beige cape/cardigan thing. I'm going to stay away from making any comments about Kim and Kanye (I think they get enough attention) but little North looks pretty stinkin' cute too.

Anyway, I'm sure if everywhere you went hoards of photographers and a TV crew were following you, you may dress up a bit more than usual too.
